Street Style

I am pretty damn impressed with the amount of fashionably dressed people out on the streets. Of course I have the link over there (=>) to street peeper, but i just blew through and found a whole slew more good ones. These are mostly blogs.

BAD: Nau is closing down. GOOD: Everything is 50% off!

This is saddening: "Nau combined high performance apparel with sleek design and thoughtful, green materials; their collections included everything from rain gear to shorts and organic cotton denim to polo shirts. " - says Treehugger.com

"You can get your last piece of Nau, both at their five brick 'n mortar stores and online, at 50% off; it looks like the stores will only be open through tomorrow -- Saturday, May 3 -- and Nau is in the process of determining how long the website will remain open. Shop now and you'll be buying a piece of history."

Lets take a gander at some of these amazing items:

In womens:

I like the urbane black jacket, its very cool, the button line curves and the entire fit is sleek and sweeping. It sells for 124. And is 100% good for the planet.

I also like the loose but not slutty jean pants; slim fit, straight leg, zipper fly jeans. They're sleek and look very nice. Not the obvious jeans of our day they match well with converse and pumps. Back to the raw original demin jeans some of us know and love - these babies are made from 100% organically grown cotton at 74 dollars.

Trous hers pants - 47.50 - these look sooo compfy. I'm not so sure whether I like the colors though.

And wow how cargo pants have improved - coming from no less than the future, the twill cargo pants rock and roll, and at 47.50.

And omg the quintessenshell pant - loose and meant for rain, these usually unattractive lumps of pants are so nice. And they make your but look decent! At 72.50, coming from a closed loop production - much of the materials in these babies were recycled, and the end of its days, it can be returned to the system and recycled as well.

Ladies, how about you just check out all their shirts - there are too many that I like to list them all here. Believe me, a gander of your own would serve well.

Nau is found at www.nau.com

CORRECTION: there is a hoody that is making me very sad that NAU is closing - it is out of stock now, and it is the striate long sleeve hoody. If other unusual hoodies exist, please note them to me.

I promise my next post will have pictures. Pinky swear.

Alexander McQueen Spring 08 LOVE

I seriously adore Alexander McQueen with a passion that I myself can barely begin to fathom. Last year I belive--yes, in the fall of last year, I came across his Spring 08 fashion show, and I fell in love with his gorgeous whimsical style.

Crimson for BACALL

This is by far my favorite peice in the collection. It pleases me the most, the color transition is absolutely amazing, and its so beautifully flowy - I could just cry. Honestly. I think it had wonderful shape, and I might even dare to put shoulder pads in this one to balance the hair. Length might also be something to try to improve this one. If this had those two things - I would buy it in a hearbeat, no matter the price.

flows like honey

I would also not only buy this one, but wear it often. With a simple gold chain, or no jewely at all, and pretty pink red lips, basic eye make up and soft cheeks, this is a domineering dress to wear for many occasions. The model's pale skin draws attention to the pale colors of this one, I feel they're warm, not washed out, and sweet. Not quite psychadelic - but almost . . . I like this one very much as well.

BACALL's Kimono

If, on one of those lovely sailing trips he took, Bogie went to Japan, and brought back a kimono for Bacall--this is what it would have to look like. Strong shoulders, long lean legs, and slightly masculine. I think she, and I, would prefer a belt rather than the birdcage like corset.

butterfly sunset

I think this is nice . . . its alright, a flop in comparasion to everything else he brought out, I think the butterflies are cliche, and the pink-purple is over done. But as far as dresses go, this isn't bad at all. I still would have prefered that red we saw earlier and maybe and orange. And some birds instead of butterflies. LATER: maybe red to purple?

Psychadelic drugs in the 50s

There are no words. This is awesome and gorgeous at the same time.

Crimson Robotik

I really liked the few things he brought out that were almost cruel to look at - harsh edged and awkward cuts - that were grey and crimson. From the future, but warm. The red doesn't look like blood, and the clothes are kinda cute. Its nice.

His bird dress:
Ummm, I liked up, but don't they give you neck cramps from having to crane your neck around them?
